SHELBY COUNTY'S TITLE VI TRAINING

Welcome to Shelby County Government’s Title VI Employee Training

The purpose of the Title VI Employee Training program is to ensure the County and its sub-recipients prevent discrimination and ensure nondiscrimination in all programs and activities.

Please watch the video which explains the protections of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. Any individuals or entities who are covered by these protections must follow this law to maintain Title VI compliance.

To complete the mandatory training:

  • Watch the training video.
  • Review Title VI Facts and How to Report a Title VI Violation at the end of the video.
  • You must have your County employee number.
  • Employees hired in 2024 will complete Title VI training in the New Employee Orientation (first day of employment).
